Renovation of Porsche 911T targa finished
10th August 2019, Turnov / CZ
We were working nearly a year on a renovation of Porsche 911 targa from 1969 for our long-term client Joseph Huber. The car celebrated its 50th birthday in a paint shop where it got a new yellow paint Bahama Yellow which was originally used in Stuttgard lots of years ago. It was then re-painted with a wine-coloured paint in California. Our task was to bring back the originality, so we removed all the paint from interior, engine area, wheel arches and floor. We did it manually up to the metal base.
We also manually cleaned all the joining materials and other zincous parts and everything was galvanized again. The parts from light alloys were cleaned and blasted, some parts were polished. Engine and gearbox were disassembled and the most needed parts were changed so that the highest possible number of original parts would remain.
Upholstery was disassembled, seat frames were repaired and re-assembled from original fabrics.
